» Website Changes Underway |
|
Hello fellow DIBSians! We have begun to merge the Project DIBS website with the Reef Stewardship Foundation website. This exciting merger should lead to more discussion opportunities and an easier to navigate website. We may experience slowdowns or website downtime late at night, which we will try to minimize.
We are happy to announce that we have partnered with MOFIB on a joint breeder challenge for Sexy shrimp, look for more details in the Sexy shrimp Breeder Challenge forum.

We will be training the teachers later this month and the research study will begin in late August or early September. This should be an exciting project:

Hey all,
Introducing the Reef Stewardship Foundation:
I am happy to announce some results of one of our long term projects, changing the name of the DIBS Foundation. After adding Mr. Trent Apple to our Board of Directors we started leaning on his expertise in working for non-profit organizations and to make a long story short, we have changed the name of "The DIBS Foundation" to "Reef Stewardship Foundation". The name is the official 501(c)(3) non-profit name with the IRS and state of Texas and what we will... [Read More]

Hey all,
I always love those nice unexpected surprises that really make your day. Well a couple of months ago (I know, slow in reporting this) I went to the PO Box for the DIBS Foundation and found a box from Lysmata Publishing.
For those of you that don't know, it is the publisher of one of the key books in breeding of shrimp "How to Raise and Train Your Peppermint Shrimp" by April Kirkendoll.
When I first opened the box I thought...that is odd...I had planned on ordering this book for the DIBS library...but was sure I had not ordered it yet. A quick e-mail to the publisher revealed it was a gift from April Kirkendoll to the DIBS... [Read More]

Project DIBS Outage & Changing Service Providers This Weekend |

Hey all,
For those of you who did not attempt to visit Project DIBS between Wed night and Thursday night, both Project DIBS and The DIBS Foundation websites were down for over a day.
We had been planning on transferring to a new service provider in late June, but I have decided to move up the transfer to the new provider this weekend to avoid any more of these extended outages (hopefully!).
I am going to begin the transfer of The DIBS Foundation website tonight, so it might be down or slow while we transfer. As soon as that is finished then I will begin to work on Project DIBS.
Sorry for the outage, again. We really hope the new... [Read More]
